About this work

Description

Diecut, folded, multiple layer valentine's card, showing 5 cherubs carrying garlands of flowers in clouds with a large red heart behind them and 2 smaller ones below them above what looks like an elaborate vase of flowers or possibly a fountain, 2 bits of orange honeycomb paper puff work at the base. The background is dull gold ink on white card and looks like frogspawn with small hearts where the embryonic tadpoles would be. The verse is seen through 2 windows cut through what folds down to be the base. Possibly late 1920s.
