Description

From an edition published in 1537 (16th year of the Jiajing reign period of the Ming dynasty). The image shows the standing acupuncture figurine ('Bronze Man') from the front view, with five channels extending over the entire body, i.e. the lung channel of hand taiyin (Great Yin), the Heart Envelope (xinbao, pericardium) channel of hand jueyin, the heart channel of hand shaoyin (Lesser Yin), the kidney channel of foot shaoyin (Lesser Yin), the spleen channel of foot taiyin (Great Yin), the liver channel of foot jueyin, and the stomach channel of foot yangming.
