Description

Photograph of a chart titled "Chart of Discoveries and Route of the Northern Land Expedition". The expedition was undertaken in 1821-1822 under the command of Captain John Franklin to survey and chart the area from Hudson Bay to the mouth of the Coppermine River, Canada. The item was part of a polar exhibition held in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum's central hall in July 1930 but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
