Description

Reproduction of an illustration of a clamp used during male circumcision. The clamp serves to hold the prepuce and exclude the glans during the procedure. Published in Anderson, R. G: Medical practices and superstitions amongst the people of Kordofan, London, 1908. A photograph of the illustration was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1938 (accession number PHO 10722).
