Description

Price is quoting: "Lord now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace for mine eyes have seen", the demon says: "Oh! quel Beau Jour". Marie Antoinette is observed through an open door escaping downstairs in her night-gown, on her bed is an inscription: "Alons le Duc nous payerons Noblement pour ceci". One of the ruffians who is about to stab a pillow shouts "Here she is"

The doctor indulged with his favorite scene. ... Lettering continues: "Is this a triumph to be consecrated at altars? to be commemorated with grateful thanksgiving! to be offered to the divine humanity with fervent prayer & enthussiastick ejaculation? - These Theban & Thracian orgies, acted in France, and appauded only in the Old Jewry.
